Mix all the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
Slice the tempeh into thin strips, then cut each strip into smaller slices.
Place the tempeh strips in a shallow dish or container and pour the marinade over them. Brush each strip well and let it rest for at least 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 210°C (410°F). Place the strips on a baking tray, brush them with more marinade, and bake for 10 minutes. Flip them over, brush again, and bake for another 10 minutes.
