3 different marinade ideas

Three marinades crafted for each type of tempeh, perfect for meal prep throughout the week. Recipe by @silvestres.uy.

Ingredients

1. Soy Tempeh

  • 1/4 cup coconut milk
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/2 tsp sweetener (coconut nectar in the video)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric
  • 1/4 tsp chili flakes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

2. Green Tempeh

  • 1/4 cup melted coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/2 tsp chili flakes
  • 1/4 tsp salt

3. Mixed Tempeh

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 6 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 tsp thyme
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 1/4 tsp basil
  • 1/4 tsp rosemary
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

Preparation of the tempeh: Cut the tempeh into strips or cubes, as you prefer for each marinade.

Mix the ingredients: For each type of tempeh, mix the marinade ingredients in a suitable bowl or container.

Marinate the tempeh: Place the tempeh in each corresponding marinade (soy, green or mixed) and make sure it is well coated.

Marinate for at least 30 minutes (ideally for several hours or overnight for best flavor).
