Tempeh bowl with Lemongrass, chili, and ginger

A flavorful and fresh bowl with tempeh marinated in lemongrass, chili, and ginger. Recipe by @florencia.curcio.

Ingredients

  • 100 g classic tempeh
  • 1 piece of fresh ginger
  • 1 stalk lemongrass
  • 1-2 chilies
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Use available ingredients to make the marinade, adapting if needed (e.g., lemon zest for lemongrass, paprika for chili, or adding garlic). The goal is to infuse the tempeh with flavor and keep it moist.

Chop everything and mix in a bowl. Coat the tempeh well and let it marinate while heating a pan. For stronger flavor, marinate longer if desired. Brown the tempeh on all sides. Add leftover marinade and turn off the heat.

Serve the tempeh over rice with greens.
